On Tuesday this week, Year 5 had a visitor in school called Darcy Turner. He is an artist who designs, sculpts, invents and manufactures —check out his website here. All children created amazing sculptures using wire and silver tape - the hall was covered in silver materials! The Year 5s could choose what to make as long as their pieces linked to the different subjects they have been taught in Science (Life Cycles) or History (The Vikings and The Greeks) and they used the techniques taught. At one point, Ms Lucca came in to join in the workshop and wore a beautiful crown made by Kassidy. The range of final products was amazing and the buzz from the children a real pleasure to see.
