National School Breakfast Programme – Free breakfast for everyone!
Our school has signed up to receive free healthy breakfast food as part of the Covid response offer, under the National School Breakfast Programme (NSBP), which is being delivered by the charities Family Action and Magic Breakfast.
As part of this government funded programme, schools can choose to offer children a healthy breakfast at school or at home. Our plan is to offer all of our families a breakfast pack to take home every two weeks that will contains bagels and packets of cereal. If you are already in receipt of a free school meal, this will automatically be made available to you and you do not need to let us know that you require a free breakfast pack.
The free breakfast pack is available to all pupils in our school but you need to contact us if you would like a pack for your family. You will need to email the school firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday 28th September. You simply need to say you would like a free breakfast pack and the names of the children and the classes they are in. We need to know this information promptly, so we can place a breakfast order and our breakfast packs should be with us before half term.
The benefits of a healthy breakfast include children being settled and ready to learn at the start of the day. There is also no cost to the school. This is a great opportunity and I do hope many of you will take up this fantastic offer.
