Food Bank Appeal

Food Bank Appeal

On Friday 13th October, a member of the local Food Bank will make an appeal to the school about donating food goods as our contribution this Harvest time.  During Harvest, it is a time to reflect and be thankful for the abundance of food we are fortunate to have, whilst also remembering those who don’t have access to the most basic of necessities.

Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. A simple box of food makes a big difference, helping prevent crime, housing loss, family breakdown and mental health problems.

All foods will be appreciated and need to be in school from the week beginning  Monday 16th October until Friday 20th October.  You can send in donations to your child's classroom and it will be collected by the school council.

Please send in non-perishable, tinned and dried foods that is in date such as cereal, soup, pasta, rice, pasta sauce, beans, tinned meat, tinned vegetables, tea/coffee, tinned fruit and biscuits.

Thank you
