The Library

The library is open every morning from 8:30am and lunchtimes from 12:15-1:30pm. Children are able to:

  • Change and return books
  • Take accelerated reader tests
  • Read quietly

Year 1 upwards are welcome to browse the books.

Click here to go to our new library management system.

The children can access our library management system from home using their barcode number and password (This is their date of birth as pure numbers. Example: 01012002).

They can access Burrowmoor library online, reserve books, write reviews of books they have read, search for accelerated reader books and any others they are interested in.

The Accelerated Reader

Burrowmoor uses Accelerated Reader which is a tool for monitoring and managing independent reading practice.  Using information generated by the software, teachers can help pupils to select books that are difficult enough to keep them challenged, but not too difficult to cause frustration. In addition, it helps teachers to monitor students’ vocabulary growth, literacy skills development and reading skills.
