SATS Briefing document for parents

Please see below the briefing document shared with Parents on how they can support their children with the upcoming SATS tests.

Homework:

Year Six children will be expected to read at home a minimum of 3 times a week. Reading as often as possible is encouraged as it will support your children's progress across the curriculum. Please ensure that children have reading books and reading records in class every day so that these can be checked. The children receive two books. The first is their AR book, which links to their ZPD level based on their Star Reader Assessment. The other is a 'Reading for Pleasure' text. Books are changed once the children have passed their AR quiz successfully.

Weekly Spellings will be sent via class Dojo. TT Rockstars will also be expected to be completed on a weekly basis. The children need to complete 30 minutes a week. This really helps to support children in all aspects of their maths.
